If you want to have 21 possibilities for inserting a PIC16F628 into an universal zif socket then use it. The price for that socket will be equal with the price of my whole board... And if you have just one pic than things like SPI, RS485, other synchronously communications can't be tested. Or you want just to blink a LED ?
