I've never seen that setting, though I haven't looked too hard.  Have
you considered using a different email client?  Eudora is very nice.
etc. etc.

If the settings weren't spread through multiple menus, and had a
sensible solution like the text lists commonly used in Mozilla and
most *nix graphical config utilities that I've seen, it would be alot
easier.

Anyways, don't give up looking (pardon the pun) yet.  You may find
what you need 3 menus down in something completely unrelated.
