Hyperterm is a terrible terminal program. I've had all sorts of=
 weird
problems over the years with Hyperterm. While it does come free=
 with
Windows, do yourself a favor and get a straightforward terminal=
 program
like TeraTerm Pro. It's free, small and works great on all=
 Windows
platforms.
