What else is there? Believe me, with the amount of money I spend= on tools I'd love to have an alternative to MPLAB (IDE, simulator,= source level debugger, programmer interface, emulator interface). The= only one I know of is IAR and it only comes bundled with their C compiler= (not all that great, IMO, compared to others) and is expensive (over= $2000 last I checked).
