I have written a programmer in Java to progam some specific (modelrailroad control) devices equiped with 16F873's in LVP mode via a parallel or serial port. It has been tested under OS/2 Warp and W98, and I suppose it will run under Linux, maybe even on Mac. Anyway essentially it is platform independent. I may consider making it more general purpose. But if it is suitable for the PBK, I cannot tell. I'm a beginner with PICs myself, but a rather experienced in programming.
