I purchased the Development package with ICD from Anderson
and have been very satisfied. The software is downloadable
from the microchip site and the ICD unit is I think from
Microchip. You get package of parts and breadboard that is
basic but effective. For $139 you can be programming and
debugging sample code the first evening after you get it.
Don't expect anything fancy, and you won't be disappointed.
