Vaccinia is a variant of cowpox that was not known until after mass
vaccinations started.

Cowpox is a rodent disease that infects cows secondarily due to bad hygiene.
(Just as well or Jenner may never have discovered that Dairy Maids were
usually immune to Smallpox.)
