There is no hope of selling the site in return for enough money to pay the
monthly bill for the damn thing. I just don't want people to rip the site
because it costs me more money and prevents people from getting to what they

It's James' site, not mine...  I do seem to remember a great hue and cry
from the masses when James hinted at teh possibility of some day burning a
CD with the archives and selling them.  All the wannabe lawyers crawled
out screaming about copyright...  of course by posting to a public list I
doubt they've got a leg to stand on.
