Yes. I remember repairing an audio power amp with unusually marked= transistors "PT7". As spare part they were ridicously expensive, so i= threw in dirt cheap ones i had on the shelf (The PCB layout was terrible= anyway, the cost for that crap was only marketing obviously...) , and the= wannabe audiofile owner said they sounded better... >Best I can do ...
