Tony, why do some of your instructions include the ,A ?

eg

INCF    i2c_State,F,A           ; update I2C state variable
BSF     SSPCON2,SEN,A   ; initiate I2C bus start condition

but not with

BSF    SSPCON2,RCEN  or  MOVWF   BuffBankFSR
