Hello Peter, > Imho wire the LEDs in reverse, the PIC drives zero easier. I think this isn't a problem. Datasheets says 25mA source and 25mA sink. > Also the LCD > has internal pullups, this may cause problems in some way. The pullups are very weak. I've measured only 80uA. The PIC's PORTB pullup have about 180uA. > Do some calculations wrt duty cycle. Unless you use 2mA LEDs the > multiplexed display will be too dim imho. I have a project where 12 groups of 8 leds are multiplexed. This makes a duty cycle of 8.3% and the LEDs are bright with 180R resistors. Again, no problem. Well, I'll send the design to the board house. Hope it works. :) Thanks, Brusque ----------------------------------------------------------------- Edson Brusque C.I.Tronics Lighting Designers Ltda Research and Development Blumenau - SC - Brazil Say NO to HTML mail www.citronics.com.br ----------------------------------------------------------------- -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
