Most of them (me?, > us?) can't even look over the PIC/AVR fence, while those are > (compared to a 430) almost the same chips... My first intro to MCUs was a PIC16C710 (I think, i might have the number a bit wrong, but it's been years since I saw the thing, so I don't really remember) But my first really heavy interest in MCUs was played out on the MC68HC12B32. It's a LQFP chip, but I had the eval board, so that was OK. Honestly, I think that it may have been nicer than this MSP430 that's being proposed. Try looking up the HC12 as an advanced CPU. - --Brendanc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use iQA/AwUBPUmJ4gVk8xtQuK+BEQJ9SgCgq6oVscJEuagZNYApdCCQIf2yBawAni3N RYHVlf3V4EqNUVQHUXCneLGk =uxT3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
