Hi all, Good day. I am not good in my analogue electronics and currently i am trying to build a security cum alarm system for vehicles. I have read that in automotive electronics, it is very important for electronic circuitry to be protected from the EMI and transient voltage and even overvoltage protection ( during starting, when the voltage can surge to 15 V from the supplied existing 12V battery, or when high voltage is purposely pump to these points by thief to burn the uC ). I would like to pool the experiences of everyone favourite type of interface circuitry when designing system that interface between a controller and the input from outside world of sensors which could interprets correctly the input signal ( HI, LO, HiZ ) and at the same time offers necessary protection. Thanks and have a nice day. Rgds, Pang __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
