Ah yes, the reliable old tube... Spent most of 2000 and some of 2001 in London, living near Earl's Court station. I remember the many times the rain would shut down parts of the Picadilly line and I had to find a bus, cab or alternative method of getting to work at Heathrow (project for British Airways). Then I worked on a project for Ford near Liverpool St. station. That was much better, but I can't believe all the tubes shut down on Christmas day, and the taxis were allowed to jack up their rates. Ack! Still a cool place though. Especially walking on Park Lane and checking out the McLaren F1 in the corner window.
