The 485 standard is available from http://global.ihs.com/ .

The DMX-512 standard is available from the USITT.  Their main web
site is at http://www.usitt.org and the standard can be purchased
from https://secure.ffa.ucalgary.ca/cgi-bin/usitt/store/enter.pl
(click on "USITT Publications", then look for "DMX512/1990").
