Agreed, but then the way my web browser hangs up sometimes trying to access
a web site without giving an error suggests that their is a bit-bucket
somewhere in the system. It does not seem to matter how robust a protocol
is, when the channel gets overloaded then all sorts of things get lost, even
the error replies :)
