I've had the same thing with jewelers/watchmakers US tanks, and asked
the list a couple of years ago with no real result. Those connections to
the ceramic are buggers to fix. The last one I had to try and repair was
a very old valve job that really was on its last legs all round and
eventually
got tossed - cheaper and less fuss to get a new one. I did fax the mftr in
New Jersey (a man called Richard Less, who I'm guessing doesn't
appreciate hypocoristics, look it up) and they could supply a new pair of
matched transducers for a horrible price. The best I've ever managed
was with conductive epoxy held on by silicone gunk, but it's never the
same as the way the factory does it. Cheered you up ?
