Are you attached to TDE.  I have had no problem with Hi-Tech and MPLAB or HPDPIC
on Windows 2000.  There is no additional setup required for HPDPIC.  For MPLAB
you just need to set the compiler, assembler, and linker paths to C:\HT-PIC\BIN.
To do that, select Project->Language Tools from the menu.

We recently upgraded Windows 98 to Windows 2000 Professional. After the upgrade,
we could only compile programs using the Hi-Tech C (PICC.EXE) compiler that were
in the root directory or 1 level below it.

We reinstalled PICC and TDE (Mathias Clearview Editor). The program resides in
"C:\ht-pic\bin".
The path has been set to this directory, does anyone know what the SET variable
should be and any other path necessary ?

The version of PICC.exe is 7.87 PL2. The version of TDE is 5.03.
