I've tried it multiple times (every time I get a new MPLAB version, I've never
used version 6) and with multiple functions.  It's not an inlined issue.  If I
remember correctly, Hi-tech doesn't do inlining as an optimization, and there
are no inline directives.  If you want inlined code, either write it inline, or
write a macro.
