Interestingly, I had this problem too at the start, and
though I cannot remember what fixed it, the Tait SW had
an option to NOT read during programming, and that did
the trick for a while.

Would you please help this PIC beginner about programming.

I am using pic_up (picup v1 by Tomas Franzon) software downloaded from
www.admittansen.studorg.liu.se. After programming 16F84 a few times you can
not program it again b/c it gives message 'PIC code protected' (Although
code protection is not selected).
