Sid, not sure about the baud rate but I have a trace of a signal from many remotes including a sony at www.users.bigpond.com/jkrichards/ follow the links to my PICnStuff. Sony uses 5 bits to encode the device type ie 32 different device and 8 bits for the command type. The intelligence modulates a 38khz carrier. I'm sure the baud rate is 2400 but don't know about the format. Is it an 8-binary or what ?
