Bronze wool would be ideal, I > can just stuff the torch handle with it. I've just ordered a commercial one > for the gas generator itself. I have played with oxy-hyd too, lots of fun. The scariest problem is if your generator stops producing and the flame runs back up the tube as the pressure decreases, i'm not sure that bronze wool will be a good enough flashback arrestor at all as the mixture has its own oxygen and will continue burning even when meshed. And probably ignite the lube in the bronze wool. Try an inline pressure relief valve (ball and spring type) a couple of feet down the hose. This acts as a one way valve and in the event of pressure loss the ball should close the orifice before the second or two it takes for the flame to travel back to that part of the hose. You are using clear hose? :o) -Roman -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY! [EE]:,[OT]: ->Other [BUY]:,[AD]: ->Ads
