When using the Hitachi 44780 (or equivalents)... if you are using the 4-bit
mode how should you terminate the connections to the remaining pins?  The
datasheet itself makes no mention of the other pins (DB8+) so are they
simply not connected?  Once the device is "set" to bein 4-bit mode it would
then appear to become irrelevant... but what about during initialization?
