Trying to learn how to use filter caps (which I believe
as called decoupling caps as well) on PCB's to keep
things running smoothly, and I expect this is a broad
subject, so was wondering if anyone has any useful web
links that could teach me a bit about it.

More specifically, I'm curious about when to use what
types of capacitors, how to size these, and placement
preferences.

Or perhaps just add some info on this list.
