I am new to PICs and I need help in a project of mine. The PIC16F84 that I was using is exhibiting some erratic behavior. I loaded a program that I wrote that toggles the state of RA0 every second using the TMR0 timer. I have seen this program work before (it was my first PIC program) but it does not toggle RA0 at a steady rate like it used to. I suspected the oscillator (32.768 kHz)considering it looked like a timing error, but a test with the digital multimeter proved me wrong. As a test I loaded another program that toggles the state on RA0 every time RB0 is pulled low. Sometimes it does not change states and other times it changes without pulling RB0 low.
