I didn't know whether this should be PIC or EE I'm sure that if someone disagrees with the placement in PIC they'll re-direct the thread. Does anyone happen to know the effects on a PIC MCU (16F877 in this case) of putting one in a very large magnetic field? (0.35 Tesla or 3500 Gauss) It'd be useful to know what the effects would be on CCD cameras too (specifically those used in optical mice). I'm putting together a position tracking system for a high field strength area, and already, it's easy to tell that the LED leads are maybe a little more magnetic than I'd like, but I think I can get away with it.
