Loose hardware around the horizontal output transistor could be causing the same. They sell something called RED GLPT made by GC that you could coat the transformer with that would eliminate this noise. Do a google on it. Sometimes a good shellac will work as long as you let it dry completely otherwise the fumes could ignite from any arcing. GE type RTV or silicone caulk could be an alternative as long as you brush off the dust thoroughly. Or, you can just store the monitors for a few years until your high frequency hearing deteriorates and then use them. ;-) Then it will just drive your pets crazy.
