If you don't give the DVD back at the proper time, the credit card is charged for an insane amount. (makes late charges a whole different story ;-) Now this is also fun when you consider that the chip on French credit cards have had their "security" cracked (see http://www.humpich.com for more info), it's so easy that you can have fun at charging someone else's card without the someone knowing before the statement comes in... A friend of mine just got bitten for 800 EUR and is currently forbidden to use a Credit card or personal checks, even if the bank recognized the mistake. (hell, they are fast to put the restrictions on, but slow to remove them...) > > And now groceries.
