Neil, This one got me too... I was amazed at how the scanner recognized a bunch of grapes. Then one day back at the self-serve checkout after pressing produce and waiting I glanced over and noticed the attendant typing something and right then wa-la the screen said please place item in the bag. I went up and asked and she said they just look over and enter the type of produce we place on the scale. If it is something she doesn't recognized she will walk over but most of the time that is not necessary. Needless to say I was disappointed... and where are those flying cars anyway!!! - Dan >Perfecto! > >But how? Is there some form of image recognition going on >here?
