   Since we are at PicList, you may get  Microchip's  digitally=20
controlled potentiometers (MCP4XXXX) for Automatic Gain=20
Control(AGC).

  Have look at: PlanetAnalog.com - Current Mirrors with a DCP=20
offer precision and current gain control.
