How about having it regulate the voltage to 5 VDC while it's at it? Some IR communication would be handy, as well. How about an integrated RF transceiver at 2.4 GHz, too? Just bend up one leg of the chip for an antenna! Whew. Glad I got that out of my system. Microchip's micros have got to be some of the best bargains in the electronics industry.
