(Unless you're willing to have your code run sometimes and sometimes not, I'd suggest only doing probabilities in Vegas.) Have you checked the datasheet? According to mine, the F part needs 4 volts minimum to run at any frequency.=20 The LF variety is good to go at 3.3 volts; in fact, it will run at 4MHz down to 2 volts minimum.
