Thank you to all responsed to my post. Tried to use your suggestions  (like
heating) but couldn't
achieve any positive result.  Didn't try any solvents though. Finaly decided
it is not worth the efforts
and gave up with that transformer. Today bought new toroidal transformer of
approximately the
same size to replace the old one. This one will be much easier to rewind.
