Quick experimentation with different browsers... MOZILLA: Getting odd results -- seems mostly better than IE but Javascript/DHTML doesn't work. Yes, I've set it on from the preferences. For example, on one of my more frequently- visited sites (www.clubcobra.com), there is a horizontal menu bar overlayed on the main page that is the primary source of navigation. Does not appear with Mozilla. I did find a theme called "Little Mozilla" which is really nice for minimal clutter on the screen. OPERA: Tried this too -- the menubar appears there, but does weird things (like the menubar outline disappears if the page is scrolled). Also adds in a large blank space before the content starts on the page. On another page, the white text on black background doesn't show up. This is too bad, because this browser has some very nice features and is the fastest by a mile! NETSCAPE: Haven't tried Netscape again and probably won't since my last experience with it was that it was really, really slow. IE: This is what I've been using so far, since it came with the OS. Not bad -- it works, has the nice 'click' sound feature when a link is hit. So far, I've not found any settings that would "correct" the problems listed above on any of the browsers, so if anyone knows why, let me know. Any others to experiment with? -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of Tal (Zapta) Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 7:19 PM To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Subject: Re: [OT]: Mozilla 1.0 release party in Ann Arbor... Thanks. It download and installed with no problems and maintained all my settings from RC2. Excelent browser. Mozilla is going to become again my default browser.
