to program the new firmware to.The newest Picstart + firmware now
programs 18F and rfPIC devices.  The firmware is included with the MPLAB
5.62 download.  As with all other PS+ upgrades you must have a blank
17C44 (25MHz or faster)  The only limitation is that you can't select
programming ranges for the 18F or 16F7x devices.  This means you have to
reprogram the entire device each time you make a change (and the
picstart isn't exactly a fast programmer :-(    )  But it works.

I just found out from another message, and thought there were others who
wanted to know.
