The theory is that the freezing/thawing breaks up the crystaline
structures that have formed in a degraded cell. The guy said he had
much success with NiCd cells in the past, and his first attempt with
a LiIon pack appeared to do the trick as well. (That's the limit of
my knowledge on the subject, don't ask me anything about cell
chemistry etc). Now the link to this theory:
