Well he will have if the shot does not explode :) If it does explode then I guess you could say there was no failure :) The worst thing to worry about will be a failure of the electronics causing the shot to explode while still in the firing barrel, or just as it leaves the barrel. To counter this I think I would try some test firings with the electronics igniting suitable fireworks before dealing with live shells.
