The supply voltage has no bearing on the output voltage swing (gain). It is determined by the feedback on the op-amp. Changing the feedback resistor(s), if there is any type of equalization within the feedback will change the equalization characteristics....but it goes a lot deeper than one can explain on this list. You should study the theory of op-amps before proceeding with redesigning the circuit. Try these sites as an example...... http://www.williamson-labs.com/480_opam.htm http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/gadgets/741/741.html Rick Tal Bejerano - AMC wrote: > Hi 2 All > > I am building a phono to aux preamp based on LM4458. the output is too low > if compared to real phono input. > my question is: > > Are the voltage supply to the OPamp effect the output? now I use +-9v > supply. > I cant test it now, cause I built fixed PSU. > > Regards > > Tal Bejerano > AMC - ISRAEL > > -- > http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different > ways.
