The GSM spec dosn't support Email only SMPP (Short message point to = point protocol). It will in te future but I suppose that's no help to = you now. Check with your GSM service provider to see if they have a gateway you = can use. (Will prob charge you for each message drop though) and you will find = that most gateways only support Email to SMS and not the other way = around. The problem is that of specifying the Email address since the = phone is geared up to accept a mobile number and message centre number. I ended up building my own to get around the problem. It's not that hard = and the great thing is if other people use it it dosn't cost me = anything, not like if it was the other way round.=20 You just need an GSM phone with a data port, it's data cable and a crap = PC running a lump of VB code. Elector mag recently did a similar device using an AMTEL chip I think. If you want more details about how to do it drop me a line.
