I'll never understand why this guy gets so much credit.  Glass encased
"valves" were already in existence when deForest "invented" the audion tube.
Armstrong provided all the creativity and innovation with the tube.
deForest couldn't even explain regeneration, yet he claims to be the
"father" of radio, and subsequently the "grandfather" of television.  What a
bunch of malarkey.

Sorry for the rant, but I have a deep contempt for "inventors" that operate
like deForest or Edison.  They seem to do their best work in court.  :-(
