Rick, Vink (www.vink.com) is an European company that sells this kind of plastic. I use a black type called Perspex 962, which is 5 mm thick. It is possible to get it in different thickness'es. As far as i remember they sell it in 2x3 meters sizes, but i am not sure if you can order them in smaller sizes (otherwise contact one of their distributors). A "sheet" this size costs (Year 2000 price) approx. USD300. as far as i remember. Depending of the application : One thing that you have to keep in mind with this type of Perspex is that the surface is very blank/shiny/reflective, meaning that you must place the receiver/transmitter as close as possible to the perspex, otherwise the receiver will repsond to the reflection from the perspex and not to the signal that is emitted through the perspex. To avoid this problem you can sand the inner surface of the perspex slightly - that is what i do when i use IR-photobeam reflective sensors. Anyway, ask for a sample before you order, since not all Perspex types are transparent to IR. Rgds Jan > -----Original Message----- > From: Tal Bejerano - AMC [mailto:kooter@ZAHAV.NET.IL] > Sent: 11.
