Win2k does not allow direct access to any hardware port, you must access hardware through a driver. It looks like the program is trying to access the port directly. There is no way around this without rewriting the app. I suggest you either use another machine with win9x or winMe on it, or set up your current machine to dual boot into win9x or winMe.
