I'll assume cost is an option as well. How about a vibration sensor for a car or home alarm? Or maybe a tilt switch oriented so it's "just about" to be triggered? If I disconnect/remove my car subwoofer to temporarily hold some luggage, and hope that the wires don't touch for one short trip, I know it'll connect, short out, and blow the amp (don't ask me why I'm so sure :-). Seems like a great start to a homemade motion sensor. :-) Cheers, -Neil. -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of Claudio Martin Sent: Thursday, May 09, 2002 8:17 AM To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Subject: Re: [PIC]:[EE]:Movement sensor Sorry i didn`t express myself very clear. What i need is some kind of sensor that can be installed in /attached to a device to detect if it moves, vibrates, etc., so the sensor is like a motion detector. I don't need high sensitivity at all. >From: Pic Dude >Reply-To: pic microcontroller discussion list >To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU >Subject: Re: [PIC]:[EE]:Movement sensor >Date: Wed, 8 May 2002 10:11:07 -0500 > >Define "movement": motion/vibration detection, or position sensing?
