> While we are at it, a big THANKS to Russell for pointing out this wonderful > page. You're welcome, I'm sure :-) I must admit that when I skimmed it I seem to have missed all the good stuff you guys are finding. The point I most noted was the claim (claim) that the NaCl content in seawater solids was around 98% and in refined salt it is about 99.9% - the balance being made up by trace, and not so trace, elements which are removed along the way. As Jinx so kindly points out, odds are that one gets enough of most of this from other sources. (When you have to rely on your salt intake to provide trace nutrients you are probably in deep trouble). While you are all at it, try searching on "whole grain". My wife's job is to rate the quality of medical research papers. She brings home interesting papers of potential relevance to our longevity and health. It seems that whole grain really does have demonstrable / statistically significant effects on health compared with refined grain products (just like granny has been trying to tell us all these years). Sprinkle it with sea salt before eating and you never know .... RM -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
