Imho color blindness is not a handicap in this problem because the colors
used on el cheapo resistors (***) are *that* kind of colors. A DVM with a
fixed plug-in contact pair is indispensable.

(***): Is it red ? Is it brown ? Is it dark violet (what kind of color is
that). Maybe gray ? No ? Oh well ...
