1SU60-type IR receiver

Transmitter -

12C508
IR LEDs and driver

Make your own codes for on/off/dim/timer etc

BTW, I read a study last year that had some shocking figures
regarding the number of calories the average American no
longer burns off because of remote controls. You don't need
to be a super-sportsman of gym-junky to stay trim, just keep
your metabolic rate up with any activity. Even fidgetting (avoid
twitching though, that attracts too much attention, unless you
want the bus seat to yourself)
