Thanks Guys. The MCM20014 sensor is 1/3 inch & Gives a 640x480 VGA resolution image. That seems to be fairly typical of the current generation. Mitsubishi's 64282 artificial retina can be clocked by a mid-range processor but its integration time seems pretty slow & it's 128x128 pixel : the technology is a few years old by now. Could use it I guess- they have a colour version out now, I think. The latest Kodak & MCM technolgy seems ridiculously complex - but maybe I'm just pretty simple? :( I'll have a closer at that CMUCAM thingy : it's about the only el cheapo artificial vision gizmo I've seen. thanks for the pointer, Tony.
