I'll start by saying that I agree, the Bike Computer tutorial is great! http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist/biketut Fred manages to do just about everything at zero cost using a lot of tricks and shortcuts that sure worked for him. Also, he records the mistakes he made and why so that we won't think we have a "smarter" way and make the same mistakes again. Sadly, it was written in Microsoft Word and the formatting is a bit... different even before converting to HTML. Many of the image links were not working and had to be manually fixed. After the first round, Fred updated the original word document by adding several sections and a lot of neat text, so I got to do the HTML conversion and formatting again (thanks Fred! ) It is now correct (I think) and should be more useable. If anyone has good experience on formatting HTML from Word, please let me know. The original Word doc (without the pictures) is at http://www.piclist.com/images/piclist/biketut/begpm5.doc and the pictures are all linked in from the html version --- James Newton, webmaster piclist.com (former Admin #3) mailto:jamesnewton@piclist.com 1-619-652-0593 VM 1-208-279-8767 FAX PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com or .org -----Original Message----- From: James Newton [mailto:james@massmind.org] Sent: Monday, April 15, 2002 21:32 To: JMN-EFP-786 Subject: Your page \techref\piclist\biketut\Chapter8.htm mod by margo_49@mindspring.com 66.32.25.47 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist/biketut/Chapter8.htm margo_49 at mindspring.com added 'Comments: I found these pages to be very helpful, however, the diagrams and pictures did not display and I feel I missed some things.' -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
