It was on the demo board that came with the ICD, and it happened when I ran it standalone with the ICD debugger software still in it. You wouldn't think it would run at all, but it apparently "strayed" into the real program. And the behavior was something like a do-nothing interrupt was wasting most of the processor time. Anyway, although it is a long shot, if that's it, well, then, that's it.... Easy enough to check. A similar idea: make sure no inputs are floating.
