Thank you for responding.  I'm pretty new to PIC - I don't understand your
reference to "absolute code".  All I know is PBasic.

Forget the bits - I was just playing around to see if I could reduce the
variable count.

I have restored my program to normal and now have 28 variable bytes.  This
includes one word plus a 3-byte array and a 6-byte array.  The "word"
variable and the arrays store but I get "unable to fit" for 11 variable
bytes.  Can you tell me precisely how to get these into storage?
